| Descrizione | Proteins from largely available by-products of agrifood industry represent a valuable material for application in the food or biomedical sectors. In the solution proposed these proteins that exhibit favorable physical and mechanical properties are combined with simple polyphenol compounds or polyphenol rich extracts from agrifood wastes featuring antimicrobial and antioxidant properties. The resulting materials have been tested for application in wound healing and tissue repair on one side or active packaging for food preservation on the other side. |
